International working group on cold water aquaculture announced

Following their bilateral meeting during the Aqua Nor aquaculture trade show, Geoff Regan, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and Svein Ludvigsen, Norway’s Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, announced an International Working Group on Cold Water Aquaculture.

Cermaq acquires Heritage

Cermaq has acquired the salmon farming assets of Heritage, a salmon farming business located in British Columbia, on the West Coast of Canada. The acquisition is in line with Cermaq’s strategy of expanding its position as a major global salmon producer.

Second Pan-Atlantic Trade Mission To Norway

EnCana agrees to sell Gulf of Mexico assets to Statoil for US$2 billion

Hebron agreement signed

Hydro and it partners in the Hebron licence have signed a unitization and joint-operating agreement. The accord will advance joint evaluation of the Hebron, Ben Nevis and West Ben Nevis oil fields offshore Newfoundland, Canada.

Increased stakes in Canadian oil assets

Hydro has increased ownership stakes in oil resources off Nova Scotia and the Grand Banks.

With the acquisition of 50 percent of exploration license EL 2404 from Kerr McGee on 14 April, Hydro is 100 percent owner and operator of the license.
