IBM acquires Canadian company Cognos Incorporated for US$4.9 billion

IBM has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Cognos Incorporated, a leading provider of business intelligence and performance management software based in Canada, pending government regulatory approval and the agreement of Cognos shareholders.

Canadian aquacultre industry generates record revenues

Canada's aquaculture industry generated record operating revenues of nearly $1 billion in 2006 reports Statistics Canada. The gross value of the industry to the Canadian economy, calculated as the difference between gross output and total product inputs, was up 58.4 per cent to $395 million.



Bombardier to refurbish NSB coaches
