Gamma Medica-Ideas ends 2005 with best month ever

Gamma Medica-Ideas is the result of a recent merger between Gamma Medica (US) - developer and manufacturer of clinical and pre-clinical imaging systems, and Ideas AS (Norway) - producer of the most advanced solid-state integrated digital detector electronics and imaging detector subsystems. The company shipped six of its FLEX (TM) Pre-Clinical Imaging systems in December to academic and pharmaceutical customers in the US and Canada.

IBM opens a new center of excellence in Montréal

In the fall of 2005, IBM Canada announced that it will create an international product lifecycle management (PLM) center of excellence in Montréal. The mission of the center, which will ultimately employ more than 200 people, is to help manufacturers reduce their time to bring new products to the market.

The total budgeted work program will be $US 4.4 million.

Husky Energy Announces First Shipment from White Rose Oil Field

Husky Energy Inc. announced last week that the first shipment of crude oil from the White Rose field, which commenced production on November 12, 2005, is going to be delivered to Irving Oil's Canaport Terminal near Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.

Canadian company to provide new wings for Norway's C 130 Hercules fleet

On Friday, November 25th, the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation signed a procurement contract for one wing-set for the Norwegian Air Force's work-horse, the C130 Hercules from L3 Spar Aerospace.

Kongsberg buys Canadian software company for MNOK 174

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has signed an agreement to buy the Canadian company Gallium Software Inc. for approximately MNOK 174 on a debt-free basis. The agreement is conditional on Board approval from Kongsberg Gruppen ASA.

Blackstone and Falconbridge Begin Ground Geophysical Survey at Vakkerlien Project

Blackstone Ventures Inc. has mobilized a ground geophysical crew to the Vakkerlien project area in southern Norway to complete detailed ground geophysical surveys over two large magnetic features immediately along strike of the Vakkerlien deposit identified from a recent airborne EM and Magnetic survey flown over the project area.
